Meet Dovie McVean, MS, PA-C, and Medical Director Dr. Robert Myles, MD, FAAOS, serving patients with CRPS and neuropathic pain in Hurst, TX.
Dovie McVean, MS, PA-C, is a Texas-licensed, board-certified Physician Assistant with decades of clinical experience and a deep background in orthopedic spine care. She has spent much of her career working with patients dealing with spine conditions, musculoskeletal pain, nerve-related pain, and complex pain patterns.
For more than two decades, Dovie has worked alongside Dr. Robert Myles in orthopedic spine care. Her experience includes participation in thousands of surgical procedures, evaluation of patients in orthopedic spine settings, and care for people whose pain remained difficult to treat through traditional approaches.
Dovie’s interest in CRPS became personal when a close family member developed the condition. After seeing how much life CRPS had taken away and then witnessing the impact of Scrambler Therapy, Dovie pursued hands-on training in Calmare® Scrambler Therapy under Dr. Stephen D’Amato in Bonita Springs, Florida.
At CRPS and Neuropathic Pain Center of America, Dovie personally evaluates each new Scrambler Therapy patient, determines electrode placement, and performs the treatments herself. Her approach is built around experience, compassion, honesty, and hands-on care.
Dr. Robert Myles, MD, FAAOS, serves as Medical Director of CRPS and Neuropathic Pain Center of America. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained spine surgeon with decades of experience in complex spinal disorders, chronic pain, nerve compression, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Myles completed undergraduate education at the University of California, Riverside and earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, followed by a fellowship in spinal surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
At the center, Dr. Myles provides physician leadership and medical oversight. His orthopedic spine background complements the clinic’s focus on CRPS, neuropathic pain, postsurgical nerve pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and other difficult-to-treat pain conditions.
